Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners is seeking a Maintenance position to uphold the safety, appearance, and efficiency of residential properties. You will handle day-to-day service needs, respond to resident requests, and perform preventive and emergency repairs to ensure a high-quality living environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English with diverse groups.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation for older adults.
• Attention to detail and basic computer navigation skills.
• Provide basic tool set and reliable transportation.
• On-call readiness within 30 minutes of notification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day service needs related to property condition and resident environment.
• Ensures timely, accurate completion of resident service requests.
• Performs preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance and general upkeep; maintains logs.
• Contributes to marketing and resident satisfaction through excellent service and communication.
• Participates in apartment turnovers: repairs, painting, cleaning of vacant units.
• Keeps areas clean, safe, and free of trash, debris, and animal waste.
• Monitors grounds and reports maintenance needs to management.
• Maintains landscaping and assists with snow removal.
• Provides guidance and training to Maintenance Apprentices & Porters.
• Adheres to policies and external regulatory requirements; responds to emergencies.
• Attends in-service trainings and supports other communities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
