Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves completing work orders, preventative maintenance, make-ready tasks, and maintaining outdoor areas across Greystar properties.

The position requires certifications as required by state/local jurisdictions and a valid driver’s license for possible golf-cart operation on-site.

Qualifications

• Incumbents must have all certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Incumbents must have valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to obtain materials and track inventory, returning unused items and notifying reorders as needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting, and general upkeep.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts when possible and using tools efficiently.
