Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards. You will diagnose and repair issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support make-ready processes for vacant units at Greystar managed properties.

The role requires EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications, state/local certification compliance, and a valid driver’s license for property vehicle use.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident service requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Accesses and tracks materials and supplies from the property’s maintenance dept., notifies on reorders, and returns unused items.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure proper tracking and records.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and performing related tasks.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools efficiently.
