Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property maintenance duties with focus on safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction. You will work under the maintenance supervisor and property manager to uphold high service standards.

The role requires basic maintenance and carpentry skills, a valid driver's license, and ability to communicate effectively in English; experience in property management is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or directly related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
• Repair walls, countertops, windows, doors, and tile.
• Perform preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers and elevators.
• Maintain work orders to meet company standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with property emergencies and weather-related issues.
• Communicate maintenance issues to leadership promptly.
• Promote safety and risk management per rules.
• Participate in on-call/after-hours maintenance assignments.
• Maintain professional demeanor and curb appeal.
• Foster positive relations with residents and other properties.
• Adhere to the company's risk management program.
