Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies is seeking a Maintenance Team Member (Full-Time, Non-Exempt) in Champaign, IL. The role focuses on protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the property's value while improving resident living experiences.

You will handle maintenance issues efficiently and responsibly. The position requires 3-5 years of maintenance experience, solid customer service, and safe, practical skills with pool service knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and basic maintenance skills.
• Working knowledge of pool service and maintenance required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must lift a minimum of 75 lbs. and work 8-12 hour standing shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends and be available for on call emergencies.
• Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal Core Values every day.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the facility and grounds based on community objectives.
• Follows practices for safe operation, maintenance and repair of equipment per health, safety and OSHA programs.
• Responds to work orders promptly, including after-hours on-call maintenance requests and rotation.
• Assists with inspecting public areas and resident apartments to ensure maintenance standards.
• Follows EPA procedures for air conditioning and refrigeration equipment handling and disposal.
• Follows health department procedures for pools and spas to maintain water quality.
• Keeps storage areas, tools and equipment secure at all times.
• Participates in Cardinal U training as required.
