Job summary

Asset Living in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support property maintenance, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic tasks under supervision.

You will participate in make-ready processes, respond to resident requests, and help maintain safety standards per OSHA guidelines while keeping accurate maintenance records and assisting with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use on-site software.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in community maintenance, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance.
• Handle make-ready tasks under supervision of Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders promptly.
• Inspect and maintain common areas, buildings, and units; ensure safety and code compliance.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program and detailed logs of service requests and repairs.
• Assist with inventory, safety training, and on-call emergencies.
