Job summary

Akelius Residential Property AB is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service residential properties in the New York area. The role focuses on routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics to keep units safe, functional, and attractive for tenants.

You will respond to work orders, coordinate with the maintenance manager, and help prepare vacant units for new tenants. This is an on-site position with on-call responsibilities and opportunities to work across multiple properties.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is required.
• Experience with building trades and systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry.
• Respond promptly to work orders and provide timely, professional service.
• Log and track work orders until completion in the system.
• Prepare vacant units for new tenants including painting, repairs, and cleaning.
• Maintain common areas and outdoor grounds; assist with seasonal tasks like snow removal and landscaping.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies, including holidays and weekends.
