Job summary

AJ Dwoskin & Associates is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address a wide range of apartment and property maintenance duties under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor and property manager.

Responsibilities include repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds; proactive preventative maintenance; managing work orders; ensuring safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction; and assisting with resident functions and on-call emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.
• CFC certification, HVAC license and related certifications preferred.
• Experience with Yardi or another equivalent system is preferred.
• Basic level of knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds.
• Handle carpentry tasks: wallboard, cabinets, doors, tile repairs.
• Participate in preventative maintenance: siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, and more.
• Maintain and close work orders to company standards.
• Inspect grounds and buildings for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with emergencies and after-hours maintenance as needed.
• Promote safety and risk management per regulations.
• Provide courteous resident service and maintain curb appeal.
