Job summary

Sunapeecove seeks a Maintenance Assistant to execute maintenance requests and repairs across the community, keeping systems, apartments, and common areas in good condition and safe.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, about 1 year in property management maintenance, English literacy, basic math, and ability to multi-task and supervise others if needed. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year experience in property management maintenance performing the duties associated with a Maintenance Assistant.
• Able to read and write in English as demonstrated by clear and concise written and verbal communications; read maintenance tickets and labels.
• Basic arithmetic skills for measurements, estimates and calculations.
• Able to operate general office equipment and routine maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other systems.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs safely and timely.
• Perform turn-key work to ensure vacant apartments are rent-ready.
• Maintain customer service standards and respond to resident requests.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests; may supervise others.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
