Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring that building exteriors, interiors, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role involves routine maintenance, make-ready inspections, inventory management, and on-call rotation with a flexible schedule. EPA refrigerant certifications are required for qualified technicians, along with a valid driver’s license where applicable.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (required for Certified Service Technicians).
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Prepares vacant homes for leasing by completing inspections, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, and verifying completed work.
• Manages materials and inventory, tracks usage, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas and amenities, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts rather than replacing them and using resources efficiently.
