Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to ensure physical aspects of properties meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Responsibilities include handling work orders, make-ready processes for vacant units, inventory management, documentation, and property upkeep.

Qualified candidates will hold EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local certifications as required, and a valid driver’s license for on-site operations.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and performs preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by completing inspections, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing tasks, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to obtain materials from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies the supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork promptly so service requests are properly recorded and tracked.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and disposing of trash and debris.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools and materials efficiently.
