Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain the community’s physical condition and deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and handle service requests in a timely manner.

The role requires 4-6 years of maintenance experience, strong customer service, and certifications such as EPA 608 or Boiler as applicable. You will work on-site, possibly on a rotating on-call schedule, ensuring safety and high resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4-6 years of maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.
• Solid troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose problems and recommend repairs.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good time management skills.
• Certifications relevant to the region (e.g., EPA 608, Boiler, plumbing, electrical) within 9-12 months.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and upkeep of property systems (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities, lighting).
• Oversee safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through responsive, professional service.
• Work a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
