Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the community's physical condition and deliver world‑class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and handle service requests promptly to keep operations running smoothly.

The role supports a structured Maintenance Technician ladder and requires the ability to work with limited supervision while upholding safety policies and strong customer service with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or carpentry.
• Certifications relevant to the region (EPA 608, boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair) within 9–12 months.
• Valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems, including inspections and repairs.
• Directs and coordinates with mechanics, technicians, and contractors on assigned projects.
• Control inventory of parts and equipment and perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through professional interactions.
