Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community facilities in top condition and ensure residents receive world-class service. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, and respond to resident requests with a focus on safety and quality.

We value a high school diploma or GED, 4–6 years of maintenance experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.
• EPA 608, Boiler, plumbing, electrical or appliance repair certifications within 9–12 months.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, and fix resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Direct coordination with mechanics, technicians, and outside contractors; manage parts inventory.
• Maintain safety and environmental policy compliance.
