Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a broad range of apartment and property maintenance tasks, ensuring high standards of curb appeal and resident satisfaction. You will handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC duties, while coordinating with the maintenance supervisor to meet timely work orders.

You should have a high school diploma, at least one year in property management or related field, and solid carpentry/maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance repairs: electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds.
• Carry out carpentry tasks like wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement.
• Proactive preventative maintenance: siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with emergencies and after-hours on-call.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership about issues.
• Promote safety and risk management.
• Maintain professional demeanor and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with residents and other properties.
