Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property maintenance needs while upholding high standards of customer service and curb appeal. You will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds repairs under supervision.

Responsibilities include completing work orders promptly, inspecting for safety, assisting with emergencies, and maintaining a professional presence with residents and team members. Abides by safety and risk-management policies.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance is required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and perform basic math.
• Must comply with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Address apartment and property maintenance duties as directed by supervisor.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC and grounds as needed.
• Perform carpentry tasks: wallboard, counters, cabinets, doors and tile repairs.
• Execute preventative maintenance and safety inspections across property assets.
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely, resident-satisfaction-compliant completion.
• Inspect grounds and buildings for safety, cleanliness and repairs.
• Assist with emergencies (snow, fires, floods) as required.
• Communicate issues promptly to leadership and follow risk-management rules.
• Participate in after-hours on-call maintenance per schedule.
• Maintain professional demeanor and promote curb appeal and resident relations.
