Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, and HVAC systems. You will work under supervision on a single fleet with state-of-the-art equipment to keep drivers on route.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
• Understand work order labor standards.
• Experience with Classes 1-8 trucks or equivalent.
• ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 years in a technician role or recent automotive school graduation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, braking and electrical systems.
• Perform light engine repair and maintenance.
• Work on suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC.
• Weld and fabricate as needed.
• Provide road service to return equipment to operation.
