Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems. The role supports drivers across a single fleet with state-of-the-art vehicles and a clear path for career growth.

Under supervision, you will diagnose multi-system issues, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-site and on-road service.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues across heavy-duty equipment.
• Familiarity with work order labor time standards and maintenance planning.
• Experience with Class 1-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships preferred.
• ASE certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis, hydraulics, braking and electrical systems.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication as needed.
• Provide road service to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Complete company training programs and adhere to safety standards.

3-5 years technician experience
