Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners in Washington is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical condition, appearance and safety of our residential communities, ensuring a clean, well-maintained and welcoming living environment for residents and guests.

You will perform routine, preventive, scheduled and emergency repairs, support apartment turnovers, maintain landscaping, respond to emergencies, mentor apprentices, and comply with policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year as a maintenance technician or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification - Type II or Universal (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; good communication in English.
• Customer service oriented for residents, associates and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests accurately and on time.
• Perform routine, preventive, scheduled and emergency repairs; log activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with residents and staff.
• Participate in apartment turnovers: repair, renovate, paint and clean vacants.
• Maintain safe, tidy areas and manage trash and debris; assist with dumpster prep.
• Oversee landscaping, snow removal and maintenance of grounds.
• Mentor Maintenance Apprentices & Porters; follow policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies quickly and attend in-service trainings.
• Support other communities as assigned by management.
