Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners in Washington, DC, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor/Technician to oversee the property's physical condition, appearance and operations, ensuring a safe, attractive living environment for residents and a great place to work for associates.

You will supervise maintenance staff, complete repairs and turnovers, manage preventive tasks, and work with management to control costs while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years as a maintenance technician or similar role.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Extensive knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification - Type II or Universal (or able to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to lead, direct, and motivate others.
• Strong English communication and reading comprehension.
• Attention to detail and safety oriented.
• Proficient with basic computer keyboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high-quality completion of resident service requests.
• Oversee maintenance repairs and general upkeep across the property.
• Manage maintenance staff ensuring training and timely completion.
• Oversee apartment turnovers including repairs, renovations, painting.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness including waste areas and dumpster prep.
• Monitor grounds and report needed attention to management.
• Assist with budget planning and procurement per contracts.
• Respond to emergencies promptly.
• Provide training to associates and support other communities as assigned.
