Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical condition, safety, and appearance of residential properties, handling day-to-day service requests, upkeep, and turnovers.

You will collaborate with residents and teams, perform preventive repairs, maintain grounds, and respond to emergencies; on-call readiness and keeping logs are required. Join a mission-driven organization delivering affordable housing across the country.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA 608 Type II or Universal Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Strong English reading and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests with timely, accurate execution of maintenance tasks.
• Perform routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency repairs; maintain logs and records.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff; communicate professionally with residents, associates, management and guests.
• Participate in apartment turnovers; repair, renovate, paint, and clean vacant units.
• Keep all areas safe, tidy and free of trash; maintain dumpster areas and preparation for trash collection.
• Monitor community grounds; report maintenance needs to management.
• Maintain landscaping and assist with snow removal as needed.
• Provide guidance and training to Maintenance Apprentices & Porters.
• Comply with policies and regulatory requirements; understand HR and operations policies.
• Respond promptly to emergencies; attend required in-service trainings.
• Support other communities as assigned by management.
• Other duties as assigned.
