Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold safe, attractive living environments and ensure resident satisfaction across properties. You will perform routine and emergency repairs, handle turnovers, and assist with landscaping while guiding junior staff and complying with policies.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, timely communication with residents and team members, and on-call availability within 30 minutes of a call.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment).
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; English communication.
• Reliable transportation and on-call readiness within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests promptly and accurately.
• Perform routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance; keep logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and communicate with staff.
• Participate in apartment turnovers; repair, renovate, paint, and clean vacants.
• Keep areas safe, tidy and free of debris, including dumpster areas.
• Monitor grounds; report maintenance needs to management.
• Maintain landscaping; perform snow removal as needed.
• Guide Maintenance Apprentices & Porters.
• Comply with policies and regulatory requirements and attend trainings.
• Respond to emergencies timely and professionally.
• Support other communities as assigned; perform other duties.
