Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners in Washington, DC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold safety, appearance, and efficiency of our properties, ensuring a high-quality living environment for residents.

You will perform routine, preventive, and emergency repairs, manage turnovers, assist with landscaping and snow removal, and train Apprentices & Porters while maintaining logs and complying with policies. Excellent English communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA 608 Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely, accurate, and high-quality completion of resident service requests.
• Performs routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance repairs; maintains logs.
• Provides excellent customer service and communicates with residents and staff to address concerns.
• Participates in apartment turnovers; repairs, renovates, paints, and cleans vacant apartments.
• Keeps areas safe, tidy and free of trash; maintains dumpster areas and preparation for pickup.
• Monitors community grounds; reports needs to management.
• Maintains landscaping and performs snow removal as needed.
• Provides guidance and training to Maintenance Apprentices & Porters.
• Complies with policies and external regulations; understands HR policies.
