Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment for residents across its communities. You will perform routine and emergency repairs, assist with turnovers, and support site operations with a strong focus on service quality.

We value hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC, plus a solid toolset. On‑site work across our properties requires reliability and teamwork in a dynamic nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair and painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day service needs for property to ensure safe, attractive living environment for residents.
• Perform routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance repairs and general upkeep.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Assist in apartment turnovers: repairs, renovations, painting and cleaning of vacant units.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of all areas including dumpsters and grounds; prepare dumpsters for pickup.
• Monitor and report maintenance needs and potential hazards to management.
• Provide guidance and training to Maintenance Apprentices and Porters.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in required training.
• Support other communities as assigned.
