Job summary

Moxy-South-Beach in Miami Beach is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our luxury hotel running smoothly. You will perform general repairs, HVAC maintenance, and daily preventive work to ensure five-star guest experiences.

This role offers advancement through our team development path and opportunities to grow into supervisor/manager roles. Strong English communication and physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities preferred.
• Able to read and follow technical manuals.
• Able to lift 50–100 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across the hotel.
• Conduct daily preventive maintenance of guest rooms.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and PTAC units.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
• Respond to work orders and service calls promptly.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, troubleshooting issues to determine necessary repairs, performing routine maintenance and preventative maintenance programs, and assisting with housekeeping duties as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining the building exterior and responding to work orders and service calls to guest rooms in a timely manner

• Prior maintenance experience in a brand or luxury hotel environment is ideal, but willing to train the right hospitality professional looking to grow their career. We are dedicated to thoroughly training & developing our team into hotel leaders through interactive teamwork in a positive work environment!
• Familiar with basic HVAC, plumbing, drywall PTAC units and electrical systems
• Knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems is also a plus
• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
• Must be able to lift and move objects 50 lbs up to 100 lbs
• Schedule flexibility including weekends, and holidays
• Work independently
• Strong work ethic
