Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic systems, and HVAC. The role involves on-site service, basic tire work, and ensuring vehicles return to operation safely and efficiently.

You will tackle a variety of system repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and participate in training programs to stay current with new technologies.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of experience in a technician role or graduating from an accredited automotive college/technical school soon.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and proficiency in chassis, brakes, HVAC, engines, and drive train.
• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on truck fleets and on-road equipment.
• Safely provide on-site road service to return equipment to operation promptly.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools and perform line maintenance welding/fabrication.
• Complete required company training and other duties as assigned.
