Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, HVAC, suspension, and drive train. The role supports our drivers and keeps fleet operating reliably on routes.
You will work under supervision, gain exposure to advanced diagnostics, and participate in safety and training programs as part of a strong career path within a stable, community-focused
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and repair on diesel and gasoline equipment.
- 3-5 years in technician roles or recently graduated from automotive college.
- Experience with heavy-duty trucks, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies.
- Work on hydraulic and electrical systems and braking systems.
- Perform light engine repairs and basic line welding.
- Maintain suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
- Provide on-site road service when needed.
- Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete training programs.
