Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC components. The role includes on-site and road service to keep equipment in operation and drivers on their routes.

Applicants should have strong diagnostic skills, basic understanding of labor standards, and 3–5 years' experience or relevant automotive training. CDL is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of experience in technician roles or graduation from automotive college/technical school within 3 months.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance on chassis components, refuse bodies, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Perform light engine work, suspension, drive train, steering, HVAC, and brakes.
• Provide on-site road service to return equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete required training.
