Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment. You will work on chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, and related components, with on-site and road service as needed.

The role requires experience in multi-system diagnostics and a willingness to learn new technologies. A CDL and ASE certifications are a plus, with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
• Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks.
• ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Graduate from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a working knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and associated hydraulic/electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems; HVAC.
