Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC components.

Under supervision, you will diagnose multi-system issues, perform preventative maintenance on Class 1-8 trucks, and safely provide road service when needed. A CDL and ASE certifications are a plus but not required; 3-5 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a technician role with gasoline and diesel repair.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and braking systems repair.
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• Heating and air conditioning.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Safely provides road service to return equipment to operation.
• Identifies the source of malfunctions with electronic tools.
• Completes applicable Company training programs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
