Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work across interiors and exteriors of a large garden community. The role focuses on keeping units and common areas clean, safe, and functional, while managing work orders and coordinating with vendors.

The position requires hands-on maintenance experience, EPA certifications, and a valid driver's license. It offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly wage with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficient in customer service and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, inspect work, and coordinate contractors.
• Develop cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by service staff and contractors for quality.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies within budget.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-saving measures by repairing rather than replacing parts.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide courteous resident interaction and responsive service.
