Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage make-ready tasks for vacant units.

Responsibilities include inspecting work, managing vendors, maintaining tools, and contributing to budget planning while upholding Greystar safety guidelines and resident service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices safely.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Computer literacy: internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects from resident service requests and perform repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling contractors.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of community areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by others and by contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools, assist in budgeting and cost-control.
