Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC seeks a maintenance technician to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality of community buildings, grounds, and common areas. You will diagnose issues, perform routine upkeep, and oversee make-ready tasks for vacant units, coordinating vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and related equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management and interact with residents and staff.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication to respond courteously to questions and requests.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management; Property management system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work by other team members and by contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and negotiates supplies within budget.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance and supports budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
