Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician in Arlington, VA to oversee and perform technical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose and repair faults, manage make-ready tasks, and uphold Greystar’s quality across common areas.

Responsibilities include inspecting staff and vendors, maintaining inventory, supporting budget planning, and conducting safety meetings to stay compliant with OSHA

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication; interact with residents and team members.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; property management system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and diagnose defects, performing repairs per approved policies and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, scheduling vendors and inspecting work.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by staff and vendors; manage inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Support budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
