Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and support the make-ready process for new move-ins, coordinating with vendors as needed.

Responsibilities include inspecting work, managing parts inventory, and assisting in budgeting for repairs and capital projects while maintaining excellent resident relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must be skilled in safe use and maintenance of hand/power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents and teammates.
• Knowledge of MS Office or similar record-keeping tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant units, schedule vendors, and inspect work.
• Maintain standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas.
• Inspect work by others and by contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with Community Manager on supplies.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance as outlined in policy.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure MSDS sheets and OSHA compliance.
• Provide courteous customer service and address resident questions promptly.
