Job summary

Greystar is seeking a on-site Maintenance Technician for Texas Arlington communities. You will perform technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas clean, safe, and functional, aligned with Greystar standards.

You will respond to resident service requests, manage make-ready processes for vacants, maintain inventory, and assist with budget planning while ensuring safety and compliance across properties in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent training.
• Experience in property-management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by state law; capable of using common hand and power tools.
• Ability to diagnose defects and follow safety and code requirements.
• Strong customer service and resident interaction skills.
• Competence in reading, writing, and basic math for records and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete work orders from residents and perform routine maintenance.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling tasks.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and interiors to maintain high Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by technicians and vendors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools, and work within budget.
• Support budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Ensure safety compliance and keep MSDS and OSHA knowledge up to date.
