Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage resident requests, perform repairs, and maintain the community to Greystar standards. You will handle make-ready tasks for vacant units, coordinate vendors, and ensure timely, quality work across grounds and interiors.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, safety awareness, and a customer-focused approach to residents and teams. An EPA certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trades.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair building systems and components based on resident requests and maintenance tickets.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Set cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to meet Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work of team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials; work with Community Manager on budgets and cost control.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance per Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Support budget development for repairs and capital projects.
