Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Long Beach, CA. The role oversees and performs technical and mechanical work to keep community buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas up to Greystar standards.

Required are 1-2 years in maintenance supervision with proficiency in Yardi and Happy Co, EPA certifications, and a valid driver’s license. The position offers an hourly rate and comprehensive benefits. Housing discount is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and team members.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management and answer questions.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from residents and routine upkeep on the community by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing through inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by staff and contractors to ensure quality and adherence to procedures.
• Maintains inventory and assists with budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Conducts safety meetings, maintains MSDS and OSHA compliance, and ensures regulatory adherence.
