Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform skilled upkeep of the community, buildings, grounds, and amenities to Greystar standards. The role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and functional operations across interior and exterior spaces.

You will diagnose resident service requests, manage the make-ready process for vacant units, schedule vendors, and work with the Community Manager to control costs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and use tools safely.
• Ability to diagnose and repair problems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient reading, writing, and basic math.
• Experience with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and complete service requests per policy and safety standards.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units, schedule vendors, and ensure punch lists are completed.
• Develop standards for community cleanliness and appearance reflecting Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by team members and implement corrective actions.
• Inspect contractors and vendors to verify quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate budgets with Community Manager.
• Perform monthly preventive maintenance per manual.
• Assist in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when feasible.
• Lead safety meetings and keep OSHA/MSDS compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.
