Essential Job Functions / Principal Accountabilities
- Manage budgets for building repairs, maintenance, supplies, third-party support, and spare parts inventory.
- Maintain inventory supplies for the sortation system, monitor expenses and purchasing.
- Obtain vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
- Use maintenance management systems to schedule preventative maintenance.
- Understand all profibus connections and repeaters within the sortation system.
- Coordinate daily activities of technicians, ensuring productivity, teamwork, safety, and proficiency.
- Maintain staffing, training, and certifications.
- Work nights and weekends if critical system failures occur.
- Train and develop the team on all technical aspects of DC maintenance, including conveyor, HVAC, ammonia refrigeration, and building systems.
- Monitor expenses by function and equipment type.
- Perform hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
- Ensure safety compliance with all regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance.
- Strong leadership qualities including assertiveness, organization, enthusiasm, decisiveness, planning, confidence, and accountability.
- Technical knowledge of electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, ammonia, energy management, MHE, and conveyor systems.
- Computer skills including Windows, maintenance database programs, and Maintenance Connection.
- Knowledge of PLCs, high and low voltage systems, including 480V three-phase, and automation.
- Ability to work safely with chemicals and components.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and CAD.
- Pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Working Conditions
- Primarily indoor work.
- Exposure to temperature extremes, dust, fumes, noise, chemicals, and working close to others.
