Job summary

Penske in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to schedule preventive maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan. The role emphasizes customer communication, parts availability, and efficient scheduling to maximize uptime and service quality.

Responsibilities include updating customers on maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring safety policies and DOT/OSHA guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of customer service experience.
• Requires at least 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate/Technical School Degree or Bachelor’s preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Must understand and comply with Penske management instructions and safety policies.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel and adhere to schedule and location requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans considering customer needs, repairs, parts, and technician skills.
• Communicate maintenance updates and resolve service issues with customers.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and ready for customers.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
