Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to plan preventative maintenance requests, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan.

You will communicate updates to customers, ensure parts availability, and keep the fleet serviced for a premier service experience. The role requires 2 years of customer service, 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience, and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• At least 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates/Technical or Bachelors degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Follow Penske rules and safety policies; strong attention to instructions and DOT/OSHA guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans balancing customer needs, unscheduled repairs, parts, technician skills and hours.
• Communicate with customers about maintenance updates, schedule changes, billing concerns, or service issues.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and ready for customers.
• Ensure parts availability for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence for outside work.
• Provide customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Execute other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
