Job summary

Penske is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan. This role focuses on delivering responsive service to customers and ensuring smooth operations within the Penske service environment.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM–9:00 PM. Key duties include planning daily/weekly workforce, communicating maintenance updates, ensuring parts availability, and supervising service administration to maximize productivity.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred
• Must comply with Penske safety and maintenance policies
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• Willingness to travel and pass background/drug screening

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans by factoring customer needs, repairs, parts, technician skills and hours to maximize service and productivity
• Communicate with customers for maintenance updates and scheduling or billing concerns
• Assure that Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence for outside work
• Provide customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary
• Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
