Job summary

Penske is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator at the Bethlehem, PA facility to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan. You will communicate with customers about updates, ensure parts availability, and maintain rental units in top condition.

The role requires hands-on mechanical experience and customer service skills within a structured shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Must follow Penske safety and maintenance policies (DOT/OSHA).
• Regular, predictable full attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans to maximize customer service and productivity.
• Communicate maintenance updates and resolve service issues with customers.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
