Job summary

Penske is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator in Wichita, KS, to manage scheduling of preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and plan the shop work plan. The role requires strong customer service and mechanical exposure with supervisory experience preferred.

Shift is Monday through Friday, 7am–3:30pm, with duties including communicating maintenance updates, ensuring parts availability, and maintaining vendor and billing processes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• The associate will be required to understand and comply with Penske management instructions.
• The associate must comply with DOT, OSHA and Penske safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans maximizing customer service and productivity.
• Communicate with customers for maintenance updates, schedule/work changes, billing concerns, or service issues.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide customer service and drive repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
