Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Porter to support maintenance operations across our communities. The role includes on-site cleaning, regular upkeep of grounds and common areas, responding to requests from residents and management, and assisting in preventive maintenance under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements. A stable on-site presence and strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Responsible for cleaning, trash removal, and general maintenance of grounds and common areas.
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders promptly.
• Ensure repairs and replacements for grounds and common areas are completed timely.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and features daily to identify hazards.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program to extend property life.
• Follow Asset key policy and maintain organized maintenance shop.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in hazard communications and safety practices.
• Participate in unit inspections as requested.
• Report violations to Supervisor/Community Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive resident relations.
• Support on-call emergency coverage at the community.
