Job summary

PepsiCo in Columbia, MO is hiring a full-time maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, electrical and pneumatic schematics, and performing preventive maintenance to keep production running safely.

The position offers weekend/holiday shifts, competitive pay of $37.66 per hour, and on-the-job training in a high-energy plant environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience (Technical School certification may be accepted in lieu of experience).
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics.
• Preventive maintenance experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment.
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability.
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.

Sunday-Tuesday 6:30pm-7:00am, Wednesday 6:30pm-1:00am Wednesday 12:30am-7:00am, Thursday-Saturday 6:30pm-7:00am, 6:30 pm - 7:00 am

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Required to work on weekends and holidays
• 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience (Technical School certification may be accepted in lieu of experience)
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics
• Preventive maintenance experience
• Basic computer and math skills
• Experience with 480V three-phase systemsPLC, welding, machining, HVAC, or boiler experience is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, humidity, noise, and moving equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably.
