Job summary

PepsiCo in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps; diagnose AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and testing equipment; and use preventative maintenance programs to support equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 18+ years old; must work weekends/holidays; ability to lift 15–50 pounds; ability to stand/walk for extended periods; ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch; able to work in extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment.
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability.
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.

• Schedule: Rotating schedule: 6:20pm-6:20am Wk 1: Wed-Sat, Wk 2: Wed-Fri, 6:20pm - 6:20am

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Required to work on weekends and holidays

Helpful Experience

• Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)
• Multi-craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical systems and mechanical systems)
