Job summary

PepsiCo in Columbia, MO is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and ensure safe, reliable production. The role requires weekend work, 3+ years of maintenance experience, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics.

You will work with pneumatic/hydraulic systems and 480V three-phase power. On-the-job training is provided in a high-energy plant environment with strong safety and teamwork expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work weekends/holidays.
• 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Experience with 480V three-phase systems.
• PLC, welding, machining, HVAC, or boiler experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and testing equipment.
• Use preventive maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability.
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.

• Location: 4501 Paris Rd, Columbia, MO, 65202-6736

• Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday 6:30pm-7:00am, Wednesday 6:30pm-1:00am Wednesday 12:30am-7:00am, Thursday-Saturday 6:30pm-7:00am, 6:30 pm - 7:00 am

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Required to work on weekends and holidays
• 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience (Technical School certification may be accepted in lieu of experience)
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics
• Preventive maintenance experience
• Basic computer and math skills
• Experience with 480V three-phase systems
• PLC, welding, machining, HVAC, or boiler experience is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, humidity, noise, and moving equipment.
