Job summary

Allied Orion Group in Houston, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee property upkeep, respond to work orders, and prepare units for move-in. Responsibilities include plumbing, appliance and HVAC repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure safe, well-maintained apartments.

The role requires making-ready tasks and coordination with management, with on-call duties as needed. Experience in multi-family housing and applicable certifications are preferred, including CAMT.

Qualifications

• Two years of multi-family experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.
• HVAC/Freon Recovery certification or ability to become certified within the first 6 months of employment.
• Training in mold detection/resolution preferred.
• Must have certifications/permits required by city or state to perform job responsibilities (i.e. pool operations).

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders.
• Repair/replace appliances (garbage disposal, refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, etc.).
• Repair/replace plumbing (water lines, water pressure, fixtures, drain lines, etc.).
• Repair/replace air conditioning/heating/electrical systems (fans, thermostats, condensers, fuses, etc.).
• Perform make-ready work on apartments to prepare for occupancy.
• Identify and correct hazardous property conditions and report hazards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and units.
• Prepare vacant apartment units for move-in including make-ready checks and cleaning.
• Assist in show units and model apartments for presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and maintenance shops.
• Be available for overtime and on-call emergencies as needed.
